Gordon the Gopher plush

I recently bought a Gordon the Gopher hand puppet plush from a local charity shop. As its a collectors piece it cost £40. I love him so much, sounding a little soft here, me. His squeaker stopped working shortly after I bought him. Did any of you used to have him back in the 80s?

I'd almost forgotten about Gordon the Gopher. Cant say I had a plush as poor old Gord didn't really do it for me, but I think I remember them in the shops. Quite surprised he'd fetch £40 as I thought there'd still be quite a few of them around.

i never knew they did a plush of old gordon.
never remember seeing one.

Here's mine - the squeaker broke on it as well but I found another one and put it in with Velcro. I also bought him a new T-shirt from the Bear Factory as his old one was looking a bit tatty. Now he has a leather jacket from Build-a Bear Workshop like the one the real Gordon has.


As well as the puppet I have the pyjama set and running gear for it, a bendy Gordon and a few books.

Can certainly remember kids going to school wearing those gordon the gother back packs.Seems like only yesterday and the plush toys and puppets in the shops.One of my much younger sisters had a gordon,but have a feeling it lay there neglected for many years untill it ended up at either a boot sale or being given to a charity shop.
