  • 1974 Birmingham pub bombings - Docudrama?

Sorry for the subject matter but I was telling a friend about a programme I'd seen about the pub bombings but searching youtube has come up blank.

I remember it being a docudrama about a girl who had arranged to meet her boyfriend in the pub but he was delayed, or had to do something first. It had a very eerie 'feel' as the outcome of these actions was known. I also think there might have been a mix of actual footage and drama re-enactments?

If anyone knows what I'm talking about then I'd be grateful of any responses.

It could be "Who Bombed Birmingham?". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbTqTbmMgkQ

      Thanks for the link willpurry.

I watched this last night and it was fascinating, unfortunately, it did not have the scene I remembered above so I will keep searching.

Oh I think I might have found it, its possibly a scene from the 'Rotters Club'. It was a while ago that I saw this so not sure that I'm right, will have to watch it again.

Just to give this closure, the scene I was thinking of did indeed come from 'The Rotters Club'. It wasn't exactly the same as I had described in the OP but as soon as I saw the characters I knew it was right.

Oh and as a side note the TV adaptation of Jonathon Coe's book, whilst being a drama, is a very nice social history of the 70's. Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it already.
