Re: Mistakes in Films-Chronological or Otherwise

In the film Michael Collins (1996) an armoured car is shown gunning down supposed IRA supporters at Croke Park http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloody_Sunday_%281920%29.
But in fact the Brits (RIC) just rode in on horseback and did the deed. Director Neil Jordan said on the South Bank Show, that he wanted something more dramatic onscreen.

It is the type of leash preferred by professional trainers, who probably supplied the dogs for the movie, and is distinguished by the "braid" near the snap, rather than by a sewn or riveted section.
Also in Titanic the character played by David Warner has a nickel-plated .45 automatic pistol, a very expensive weapon for a manservant in 1912. Not only that but they weren't commerically available until a few weeks after the Titanic sank.
