It looked identical to the vintage ones. Up until then I assumed all the ones on the road were vintage.
They have stopped making the classic "modern version" now, as it does not meet modern safety standards.

I regret that nowadays I can't STAND them- as vehicles in themselves, they're great, but the recent cult around them seems to have resulted in an awful lot of obnoxious people owning them. Most of their owners seem to be churlish, unfriendly and rude- as a child I used to long for us to have one, in the end we got a Sprite Musketeer caravan which I much prefer. I live in Malvern in Worcestershire, and the annual 'VanFest' is always held at the Three Counties Showground down the road- and there's ALWAYS trouble there, fights, public disorder, arson, you name it. What IS it about these machines that attracts such troublesome persons?!
If I had to have a dormobile or motorhome, give me a Bedford CA or a Commer any day inpreference to a VW Kombi.

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

Yes hiring out would be cheaper in the long run then you dont have to worry about repairs breakdowns etc.
