Someone mentioned Making Plans For Nigel by XTC. 6Music play it all the time. It's either that or Senses Working Overtime because XTC only ever recorded those two tracks and nothing else according to DJs for the past twenty years.

It Only Takes A Minute (100 Ton And A Feather, again '76)
Hmmm, I wonder why this isn't played anymore?. Hint, remember who 100 Ton is.

                    From the '70s -

                    'Girls, Girls, Girls' - Sailor
'That Ain't No Way To Treat A Lady' - Helen Reddy
                    'Wow' - Kate Bush

Not strictly keeping to the subject, but some '80s ones -

                    'My Oh My' - Slade
                    'Brother Louie' - Modern Talking
'Sunshine On Leith' - The Proclaimers
                    'Crazy' - Icehouse
"We're the Sweeney son, and we haven't had any dinner!"

Thanks for the kind words, Darren. I really enjoyed compiling those long-forgotten songs. I grew up listening to all those tunes on the radio, and actually the 60s/70s are my particular favourite eras for music. I never get tired of listening to songs from that era, as every song had a catchy tune, unlike much of the tuneless dross of today.

A very, very good list there. Some of those songs I'd missed myself. It's amazing the amount of songs you can think of, once your mind starts reflecting.
