I used to love the smell of the Christmas annuals, like The Beano and The Dandy. I don't know what it was, but the pages always seemed to have that air of newness about them.

I had Cupcake dolls and My Little Ponies that were scented. The smell was very potpourri-ish and that irritated my sinuses
