        Re: RIP Mel Smith

Very sad news. 60 is not old these days and he has left us far too early. He and Griff Rhys-Jones really made me laugh with their really comical sketches in Alas Smith and Jones, especially the head to head talks. Here's one I recall:

MEL: "Of course, I used to be in a pop group myself, y'know."

GRIFF: "What group was that, then?"

        MEL: "Blodwyn Pig".

        GRIFF: "Blodwyn Pig?"

MEL: "Yeah. Of course, I left before they got big".

GRIFF: "I think they all left before they got big!"

Rest In Peace, Mel, and thanks for all the laughs.

very sad news............one very funny man..........i loved his series 'colin's sandwich' esp the one about him flying off on his hols and half way there he wonders if he'd left the grill on which bothered him for the entire holiday and when he got home of course the grill was off

does anyone else remember this? .........i have looked online but as yet i haven't been able to find it anywhere

                Very sad news.

I was too young to watch Not The 9'O Clock News when it was first on, but really enjoyed the compilations.

Alias Smith & Jones and the later Smith & Jones were also very enjoyable.
