  • Classic Childrens TV - any suggestions

There's a couple of Christmas questions going around on the forum and so people must be turning their thoughts to cosy winter nights and looking forward to Christmas. With that in mind, it has reminded me.
I usually like to buy a Christmassy DVD or two, in recent years we've watch the Father Christmas cartoon by Raymond Briggs and stuff like that.
This year I've got hold of a copy of "The box of delights" which I won't let my kids watch just yet and have told them that we'll watch it a Christmas.

Are there any other suggestions for classic Christmassy kids Telly?

Thanks dazzyboy, I was planning on LWW movie but actually I have all the bbc series's on DVD that were free from a newspaper years ago and I don't think the kids have seen it yet, might give that one a go.

Xmark, thanks yes that's a fave of my daughter's and I reckon she might watch that one.

Any other kids drama series's I've forgotten about anyone that are Christmassy?

I'm trying to remember the last Xmas this was on TV, at least on the major channels.

I'm amazed no-ones mentioned the Snowman yet!

I was thinking of the Xmas period in general, which depending on the days of the week can be about 22/12 to 2/1 at least.

Love this. Have watched this every Christmas for the last 5 years. Just waiting until the kids are old enough to also enjoy.

For me it has to be a Christmas carol. I prefer the more authentic versions over the updated ones though.
The 1951 Alastair Sim version and the 1971 animated Richard Williams versions are my faves.
