SNAP! I always thought it was bus until about a month ago. It suddenly struck me that it's actually boss, but bus makes more sense.

Me too. I used to sing it out loud when I was little and my parents never corrected me so I suppose they thought it was 'rain' too.

I had a friend at school who genuinely thought they were singing "Row, row, refugees" in Rasputin!

When I was watching the Christmas Day edition of TOTP there was a song that sounded in the lyrics as if the singer was singing "Tesco sober" - ironically, I was rather close to some alcohol from the aforementioned supermarket!

I remember Marc LaMarr suggested Paul McCartney was singing about an Irish garage called Mulligan's Tyres.

Sister sledge “lost in music “ the line where they sing they “played for some crazy fans” sounds like “played for the Grizzly bears”

This one, "Pilot of the Airwaves" by Charlie Dore, which got considerable airplay on Radio 2 when I was a kid.

The bit where she sings "People say I look weary, but that's just the company I keep" sounds like "People say I'm a queerie, but that's just the company I keep".
"The answer to the ultimate question, of life, the universe and everything is .....42"

                              One way ticket by eruption

i always thought it was “one way ticket to the moon.”
wasn’t until it was on an old Totp on bbc4 a few weeks ago I realised it was one way ticket to the blues
