  • Children of the Stones painting

I am a fan of the 1970's Tv series Children of the Stones.
The painting below features in the series prominently. Does anyone know who painted it and if it still exists its present day whereabouts?

Thanks and Happy Day to you!

What happened to the original painting featured in the series?

Here’s a message from the artist.

"The painting, I remember well, it lives in Avebury Manor itself -having many years ago been purchased by Lord Avebury who at that time lived in the manor and then left it behind for the National Trust.

In terms of inspiration: I read the script and just followed my instincts having always adored Avebury".
