"When killing a song softly is not an option."

      Please don't tell anybody
that we're the real Duran Duran!
      We're just happy pretending
to be our own greatest fans...

I prefer the Travolta and Newton-John version any day of the week - Hylda Baker dressed in Lycra? The mind boggles...
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
        I'm having so much fun
        My lucky number's one
        Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

As they will be reviving Spitting Image, it made me think whether The Chicken Song was indeed a song that was first used on a Spitting Image episode, and the powers that be decided to turn it into a hit? I don't remember any episode that used it myself.

I think it must have been.

Thank goodness that it wasn't play as much on radio as its namesake was shown on BBC Three.
