My favourite sandwich used to be bacon and banana. Only you dont cook the banana.

Now its roast beef and caramalised red onion relish on a hot baguette. Mmmm

Hey, i should get my wife to read this, shy thinks I'm crazy when I tell her what we put in our sandwiches as kids. Hmmm, maybe I am crazy - oh well, at least I'm not the only one. LOL!

I'm feeling hungry now so I think I'll have a cheese and barbeque crisps butty.

I loathe jam on butties. We lived in Malta for a few years, and my mum would make me jam butties, wrapped in foil for lunch. Of course, by the time they'd been in my bag for the morning, the jam was bubbling( especially wrapped in foil), and I heaved everytime I opened the packet. Never ate them, just threw them away.

And my fav has to be pickled beetroot butties!

If you think egg sarnies honk then try the one my mum used to give me when I first started working.....Shiphams salmon paste...must have been threatened with a fish. A scotch pie on a roll(bap to you south of the border) used to be popular before a certain Mr Oliver pulled peoples chain. Chocolate on a piece was also a fav in days gone bye. My Dad's fav was a Frys Cream.
