Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

Canadian Thanksgiving is in October and predates the American holiday by some twenty years as it was first celebrated by the English explorer Martin Frobisher in 1579 or 80.Comment

If you are anything like the Americans/Canadians I know...it's a big excuse to eat far too much...put on weight....and then blame history lol. Don't get me wrong btw...us Brits are no different !!
