Re: Who,s "it"

We used to sing:

"Eeny meeny miny mo
Catch a baby by the toe
When it's done
Wipe it's bum
With a piece of chewing gum"

Aunty Clara had a canary down the leg of her drawers.
She gave a fart ,it did depart, down the leg of her drawers.

Also from the boys playground we could often hear.....

"Queenie, Queenie who's got the ball,

Don't know if it's the same game as we played called Queenie -

Our version the person who was 'it' stood with her/his back to the group and threw a ball over their heads to them. When someone had retrieved it everyone stood hands behind backs (including the person with the ball) and we 'sang' in unison Queenie Aye-oh co-co, who's got it -d'you know? Then the thrower turned round and had to guess who had the ball. Guess right - she could throw again, guess wrong - they swapped places. The only change to this routine was if the ball was caught as it was thrown - then the shout of CATCH !! went up and the pair swapped places.
