Do you mean this song, Glenn?

If so, I believe Duke Ellington's 1953 version is the original. The first one I heard was, believe it or not, by Bill Haley and his Comets on a live album from 1976!
Time flies like the wind, fruit flies like bananas - go figure!

this one. by the way Thank you so much for Zabadak!!! its nice meeting you here!!!

When i research about this man i never have seen any article linking him to this famous song. I just cannot see it in wikipedia or anywhere to prove this singer or composers ownership of the song. I have read something about this song that i did not exist to be a song with lyrics just the tune from a composer and then somebody added the lyrics and give it more meaning. This is just a vague memory of mine though... i have just forgotten about the article or perhaps i have just mislead myself into thinking what wasn't really the case.

Heres the lyrics to it. It came with the name Kitaro which was a composer. Dan Silt? or Kitaro? got so confused....

      KITAROCARAVANASARY LYRICS

Once a long long time ago
      Setting out find our dreams
      Lost in memories
      Of golden days
      Sometime rising in the spring
      Glowing shining game the sun
      Golden days means
      Come to till return
Those who know the fire burn
Try to find forever the dream
Try to find forever the way
      My way

      Caravan journey in the sky
      As the sun comes out
      From the day
      Caravan we know
      Who we are
      We discover
      Where we went
      Oh ohh caravan
      There we find the love
      Love shimmering
      And soon our love
      Is trough

      Come with me
      And take my hand
      Memories of
      Past unfold
      And with I lived
      Them once again
      From my fading
      Heart my hand
      Feel my walk
      In love with him
      And I wander when
      The spring will come
      Do we ever really
      Know for sure
      Will we travel
      On and on
      Someday we'll be
      Standing up
      From today

      Caravan journey in the sky
      As the sun comes out
      From the day
      Caravan we know
      Who we are
      We discover bis
      Where we went
      Yeah caravan
      There we find the love
      Love shimmering
      And soon our love
      Is trough

Yes, I have seen it. But there was a singer named Dan Silt? if i haven't mistaken to been labeled to the song. Who was he? was he the original singer? or was this song just written to just the melody and no song? I don't get it!
