At the time, circa 1971, it caused a bit of a stir, but is largely forgotten now. Those life-size child replacements were so creepy.

It was called Z.P.G. or Zero Population Growth. The world has become a polluted, over-populated mess and authorities decree that no more children will be born for a certain period of time. Couples are given animatronic robot children as substitutes, only Oliver Reed's wife becomes pregnant.....

                I'm guessing...

                Four Weddings and a Funeral
                Sliding Doors
                Trainspotting

                ???

There are three I had in mind.
Interview with the Vampire (1994), Mission: Impossible (1996), Saving Private Ryan (1998),

Name the early 70s chiller in which Susan George as a babysitter is menaced by a killer. As a bonus, name the two male cast members who went on to star in a very successful and long-running comedy-drama for ITV in the late 70s and well into the 80s.

Here's a clue: The title was a single word. The two male characters were probably some of the biggest ITV stars in the late 70s and 80s.

                        The answers to the quiz.....

The film was Fright from 1971. The two male stars were Dennis Waterman and George Cole, who went on to great success in Minder.
