      Come on..no contest here..
The 70's gave us classics from Zeppelin,Roxy,Eno,Zappa,Bowie..etc not to mention Punk,Post Punk and New Wave
The 80's?? Kylie and Rick Astley..
      I rest my case

The 80's were good if you like Pop,but the 70's win for more heavyweight stuff

Was a bit young to appreciate music in the 70''s, do love a lot of it now though,

Between the 70s and 80s for me. I think I'd have to go for 80s simply because I remember it more than the 70s, although i do love 70s stuff.
The only thing to look forward to is the past

Got to agree with Daz the 70's had the most diverse range of musical styles for any decade ie pop, heavy metal, prog rock, disco, glam rock and of course punk something for everyone. I also believe that you should never limit your musical tastes to the past< I enjoy as many of todays bands Razorlight, Muse,Bloc party,Snow patrol etc as i did Bowie, Roxy, The jam etc. Live for today

The best era for me would have to be the 60's....
But as you are asking me to choose between the 70's,80's and the 90's it would have to be the 80's / 90's The stones rose,Happy mandays,The inspiral carpets,The charlatans,Oasis, blur,Ian brown,Bluetones ect,ect..

Shocked Stunned and amazed that the 70s are beating the 80s, come on people, where are your priorities, the 80s was far better than the 70s, even the 60s was better than that other decade.
The Best Year of The '80s ... 1986 of course!!

80s. Although some of it is a bit ****, it has a very fond following for me.
