    Well, a singer who has been at the top for the longest that I can think of is Sir Cliff, but I have no idea if I am right. If not Sir Cliff, then Tom Jones?

    It was good ol' Lord Richard of Cliffington himself! He was a fan and got a guest appearance as a favour from the producers.
