Well, a singer who has been at the top for the longest that I can think of is Sir Cliff, but I have no idea if I am right. If not Sir Cliff, then Tom Jones?

      I'm thinking Elton John?

It was good ol' Lord Richard of Cliffington himself! He was a fan and got a guest appearance as a favour from the producers.

Okay, here's one that goes back quite a bit.

In which comedy-drama series from ITV was there a titles sequence showing the main character desperately trying to grab bank-notes that were swirling in the wind?

The title was a single word, was the main character's nickname, and is also a shortened form of a very popular pet usually kept in a cage.

You got it. The series was a kind of proto Minder, with Budgie, fresh out of prison, being led into various dodgy schemes by local small-time crook/businessman Charlie Endel. It was very popular when transmitted in the early 70s, and I would watch it each week.

Think carefuly about this question as the answer may not be as obvious as you think......
Who was the third person to portray James bond and can you name his two predecessors?

The first two were Barry Nelson in a TV production of Casino Royale in 1954 and Bob Holness in a 1956 radio production of Moonraker. I may be missing someone, but I am going to assume Bond 3 was a certain Sean Connery.

Name the series that went through 2 iterations from the late 60s to just before The Sweeney, which actually replaced the series I am asking about. It's first iteration was as a largely studio bound drama, but in its second it became more action oriented and was shot on film by the same company that made The Sweeney.

Nope, not Z Cars. This was an ITV series, based on an actual part of the police. It was canceled in favour of making its successor, The Sweeney. The first 2 series were made in 1969 and 1970, while series 3 and 4 were made in 1973 and 1974. One star of the 1973/74 series was the late George Sewell.
