This was a short 10 min programme series on ITV if I remember rightly about a young 5 maybe 6 year old girl walking the countryside with her elderly grandfather seeing how nature changed during the 4 seasons. I may be wrong but I think each programme focused on a different month in the year.

The title itself doesn't ring any bells, but your description sounds vaguely familiar, so I think I must have seen it. The IMDB entry says it was made in 1983 but titles it "Emma and Grand pa on the Farm" and it seems to be a movie so perhaps individual episodes were combined for the US market. Shelley Winters is credited as narrator but I don't remember her doing that, so maybe it was for the US market she was brought in. Apparently, the dog was called Cindy. Wish I could remember more but my memories of it are so fuzzy.
