Leonard was one of my fave Brit comedic actors so I watched this.. Tripper's Day. Never saw the Forsyth version.

Correct. The Forsyth version was Slinger's Day.

Only When I Laugh and My Good Woman.

Last of the Summer Wine was originally slated to have a different title...what was it?

He was also in Hot Metal (a sort of prototype Drop The Dead Donkey) and Tutti Frutti (about a fictional rock 'n' roll band, led by Robbie Coltrane - my introduction to both actors!)

Did not see those. I recall him in Only When I Laugh and one where he takes over an old penny arcade with a friend. Now what was that called?

I missed your early reply mate.. sorry. My Good Woman was one I had forgotten. The one where he runs a penny arcade is High And Dry. I have yet to watch this.
It's 1946, and when Ron Archer discovers that the pier at the nearby seaside town of Midbourne is up for sale, he sets out with his son Trevor to find the money to buy it.
