Milk & Other Marketing Boards

At one time there were a number of marketing board for different products.

The Milk Marketing Board was probably the best known, even sponsoring the League Cup for a few years.

I remember the Cheese Marketing Board with it's slogan "Any Way You Please It Cheese It" with a logo which was a Union Jack made from slices of different cheeses.

I've heard of the Potato Marketing Board, but can't remember any of their ads.

I remember the Milk Marketing Board.

Wasn't it to give the farmers a fair deal?

Nowadays supermarkets rip-off the dairy farmers

I don't remember the boards, but I do remember the poster with the Union Jack made of cheeses. There was one in my local bakers and IIRC there was one in the shop on Open All Hours.

I believe there were also the Meat Marketing Board and Egg Marketing Board. I remember the latter had the slogan 'Go to work on an egg.'

Wasn't 'Milk: It's gotta lotta bottle' a slogan from the Milk Marketing Board?

Tea and bread had generic advertising as well, certainly circa 1982. There was another thread about it on here.

I believe the cheese one is actually called The Cheese Board...

Clearly misunderstood by Nissan with their Mk2 Micra as 'Go to work in an egg' (quip in a motoring magazine at the time).
