What role does Peter Butterworth play in Abroad?

What role does Kenneth Connor play in Girls?

What animal is brought into the hotel for a photo shoot?

The only genre I steer clear of is romance, but even then there are exceptions like Brief Encounter and a superb little film from 1973 called Breezy, directed by Clint Eastwood, and starring William Holden and a very young Kay Lenz. If you get a chance to see it, then don't miss it.
My mum loves William Holden! I'm not into modern day films either, too much violence and sex scenes for my liking, i like films from the 80s, and i love comedies. I hardly ever go to the cinema to watch a film. Much prefer my collection of VHS films, Twins, The 'Burbs, The Lost Boys, Hiding Out, Stand By Me......

          1. Pepe, the hotel manager/owner, one of Butterworth's best roles imo.

          2. Mayor Fred Bumble

          3. I think it was a donkey.

Holden was a fine actor and starred in some iconic films: Sunset Boulevard, The Wild Bunch, Network and so forth. He left us far too soon.

I am not sure how to put this, nor describe it, but compared to films from the 60s, 70s and 80s, the acting style has changed in modern films imo. There seems a kind of breathlessness in line delivery. To me, it just stands out so much that it seems so false, as if the performer were trying all the time to show how earnest they were. Thankfully, my DVD and VHS collections are reasonably extensive in film genres that I like, so I don't bother much at all with newer films.

love the carry on films and seen all 32 of them. my faves are Abroad, Behind, Matron and Camping. me and my sister never used to understand the whole "milk is it?" bit in Carry on Camping when we were kids, we couldn't understand why the guy wanted to kill Peter for asking for "milk". haha so much funnier as an adult.

                        Three new ones: Cruising.

Who made her debut in Cruising.

                        Who did she replace.

                        Name the Williams character.

Who played the little old lady passenger.

Actor made his only Carry On appearance.

I'll have a go at these, though several will be guesses...

                            1. Making her debut in Carry On...Dilys Laye.

                            2. Who did Laye replace? I assume she wasn't first choice for her part? Not sure but I will take a wild guess at Babs Windsor though I will be surprised if I am right.

                            3. Williams played First Officer Marjoribanks.

                            4. That would be the wonderful Esma Cannon.

                            5. Another guess, but I suspect it was Lance Percival.
