of all the 'classic' cartoon bunch, I love Foghorn Leghorn and his constant battles with the 'dawg'..... in Foghorn's distinctive Southern drawl: "I say, now, I SAY boy!

And the tiny bird that is always after him..."I'm a chicken-hawk"

And the prissy hen with her book-worm chick (I'm sure there's a character in the Carry On films based on her )

My fave cartoon character has to be Astronut. How many of you remember him?

I also loved Foghorn Leghorn, Squiddly Diddly, Secret Squirrel, Pink Panther, Tom and Jerry and The Hillbilly Bears.

Droopy the dog. Huckleberry Hound must have been a favorite when I was little because rather than fit a lock on the door of our outside loo it was the custom to sing to warn everybody it was occupied (!) and I'm told Oh My Darling Clementine was my song

My fave cartoon character has to be Astronut. How many of you remember him?

Of course, I remember The Astronut...he *and* his Earth buddy Osacr Milde. He even gueststarred (as a troublemaker) with Deputy Dawg a couple of times....Both were created by Terrytoons.

All of the piosters here have made INSPIRED choices..

I have to add to this list The Mighty Heroes. Created by Ralph Bakshi, also for Terrytoons in the '60's as a supporting feature with Mighty Mouse on CBS.

And let's not forget Hanna-Barbera 1960's mainstays The Cattanooga Cats, Jonny Quest, The Herculoids, Fantastic Four (H-B used them with licence from Marvel) and of course SPAAAACE GHOST!
