  • Re: NO.1 the Day you were born

Numéro uno the day I was born was, "Eye Level" by The Simon Park Orchestra, selected by Thames Television to be the theme tune for their Netherlands based detective series, Van der Valk.

The Beatles- 'Get Back'. I was born on 5th May '69, the song got to no.1 on 23rd April and stayed there for over five weeks before being tipped off by Tommy Roe's 'Dizzy', which was covered in the late '80s by The Throwing Muses.

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

"Coward Of The County" - Kenny Rogers; 22nd February 1980. Bit of an unfortunate one, really.
