Does Anyone Remember This Tragic & Horrible Event That Happened to this little boy . poor little sod rip james

James Patrick Bulger was a boy from Kirkby, Merseyside, England, who was murdered on 12 February 1993, at the age of two. He was abducted, tortured and killed by two ten-year-old boys, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables.

Unfortunately I don't have any idea about this, apologies but I am just a bit curious as to how did this is horrible thing happen? How in the world was a two year old abducted without the parents watching over this little innocent boy? Weren't they supposed to have stayed with child always given that the boy was just 2 years old?

I have been thinking that James would have been 27 now if he had still been alive - he was deprived of a chance to live his life, to get married and have a family of his own, and come to think of it, the family that James would have had himself as an adult had been deprived a chance of living as well, and so on.

We go on about children not going off with strangers, but the "strangers" in question are usually adults - this horrible incident proves that it is not only adults that do cruel things to children. Those two boys who did that to James should have been in school, shouldn't they?

I remember his killers getting the "cannot be named for legal reasons" treatment by the media because they were only 10 years of age, and it was only a while later when they were named. A lot of people assumed that youngsters as young as that are not capable of doing such a horrendous crime, but they were wrong - there is no lower age for that sort of thing as far as I am concerned.

It is so unfortunate that Jon Venables' latest conviction is so close to the anniversary to this, and I really feel for Denise Fergus and her family for the loss that she had from 25 years ago.
I am now in my 40s (just in case anyone asks).

James was with his mother in a crowded shopping centre. She lost sight of him for a minute and in that time he was led away by two ten year old boys, who took him to, I think near a railway, and murdered him. There was very upsetting CCTV footage of James being led away.

I feel great sympathy for James's parents and family. It was a truly shocking case. I saw the CCTV footage of James being led away only once; I was too upset and have studiously avoided it since.

James's mum was on loose women a month or 2 back talking about what happened on the 25 yr anniversary of that terrible day in a shopping mall.

Cant remember which of them had a very bad upbringing.
Its unlikely it would have happened had it just been one instead of two of them from programmes ive saw on that killing.

I really admire women like Denise Fergus and Sara Payne who have both lost their children in such unbelievable incidents, and how they have stood on their own two feet and addressed the media on what is wrong with this country when it comes to the dangers that children have to face in public. At the end of the day, they were both just mothers who understandably wanted to protect their children and give them the safest environment for their youngsters to grow up with.

I remember at the time of the trial one of their friends was interviewed & was still in disbelief they could do something like it, but he knew they were no angels.
