  • War of the Worlds

Even though outside the remit of DYR, being originally broadcast on radio in the 50's, War of the Worlds was so iconic, because the listeners went into panic mode. thinking it was a real news item

    There's also live stage versions

This one stars Justin Timberlake as the singer & Jeff Wayne as the orchestra conductor

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.

        I love the lyric:

"The chances of anything coming from Mars is a million to one" they said

        "But still they come"
