    Re: Cover Songs.

I have always thought that Queen and ELO have always done "cover version-proof" songs, although every time I have heard a cover version of one of them, it does sound nowhere as good as the original version.
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
    I'm having so much fun
    My lucky number's one
    Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!

I remember a couple of attempts at Bohemian Rhapsody. One by Bad News (being Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson, as I recall), and the other by Fuzzbox.

They can never be as good as Queen's.

            It's different, not better.

                    Re: Cover Songs.

Paul Young's Love of the Common People and Madness' It Must Be Love sound like very 1980s songs, so it seemed bizarre to me that earlier versions were made at the start of the 1970s.

When I was younger, I really thought that most of Shaky's hits were originals because it felt as if his "trademark" was on them.

The Sundays version of Wild Horses, originally by the Rolling Stones is my favourite cover.

Watched a movie called Sucker Punch recently which has a couple of decent covers of Sweet dreams (Eurythmics) and Where is my mind (Pixies) by Emily Browning.
                        "GAME OVER MAN, GAME OVER"

Each to their own but I enjoyed it.

Emily Browning has come a long way since Lemony Snicket.

Thought she was great in Legend but seems to have vanished since.
