    Re: Killing cancer.

Up to 5000 Australian patients battling aggressive forms of cancer will have their malignant cells analysed under a world-leading program that tailors treatment to a patient’s individual circumstances. The Australian Genomic Cancer Medicine Program will conduct the human trials next year in which each patient will have their cancerous cells tested using genome sequencing, which analyses their DNA to determine how to target and destroy the disease.

Heard about this study a while ago, lets hope it is successful and we see a rollout soon, what a great development this would be.

So Proton beam therapy is now a reality in the north of England, today Christies hospital in Manchester unvieled the groundbreaking 125 million pound machine that directly targets certain tumours without destroying the surrounding cells and tissue. To begin the therapy will be offered primarily to children and in exceptional cases to certain adults with more complicated conditions. We are very lucky to have this technology as in the past it was necessary to travel abroad to receive it.

A new diagnostic device is being trialed in Britain, it is a non invasive breath test which is capable of detecting cancer molecules in the body, it is being trialed primarily on cancer affecting the oesophageus and stomach but in time if trials are succesful it could be used for many other areas commonly affected

Just watched a harrowing programme about broadcaster Bill turnbulls fight with Prostate cancer, what a lovely fella who is trying hard to stay positive about his condition despite gradually getting worse, we also see the moral dillema Bill faces as he turns to using cannabis oil to ease his condition ...best of luck Bill
