I thought "Alias Smith & Jones" was pretty good. What about "McCloud" though? It was a cowboy cop show and crosses both genres?

Not a western fan now and hate John Wayne films.

Used to watch Gun Smoke (Miss Kitty?), Bonanza (loved Blue ), Rawhide (keep them Bogies moving - Rawhide...), High Chaperal and several others. Don't make them like they use to!!

                LOL Daz!!

Think the term "Bogie" meant cattle - nothing to do with Noses, lol can you imagine all those strong manly cowboys trying to keep their horses under control while blowing or picking their nose!!

The word in the song is Doggies, but I prefer your version.I have visions of hundreds of Sam Spades been rolled ,roped and branded

                      Re: TV Cowboy shows

Blazing Saddles round the camp fire with the baked bean was so funny, not a tv western but brilliant, as was the Rifleman with Chuck Connors.
