  • RIP Judith Kerr - children's author

Judith Kerr, the author of the children's book The Tiger Who Came to Tea has died at the age of 95 - someone who was probably in the "Words and Pictures" territory of children's books a la Allan "Happy Families" Ahlberg; Pat "Rosie's Walk" Hutchins; Shirley "Dogger" Hughes; David "Not Now, Bernard" McKee and others - another one who I thought left us a few years ago. One assumes that the book is about about a rather large member of the cat family almost doing the same thing that Eric Carle's starving caterpillar did.

I am not too familiar with the book myself, but I am almost certain that my Infant School classroom had a copy in its book corner, and also the children's section of my local library had a copy as well - a quite recognisable story book that has been read by generations of children.

Did anyone read it (or had it read to) when they were younger?
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
    I'm having so much fun
    My lucky number's one
    Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!
Working...
