Harold and Maude is great--a black as night comedy, but so much more.

Re: Fav 3 films fro any decade?

It is impossible to mention only three films! Star Wars, Godfather, Indiana Jones.
To want to, is to be able to.

It was premiered on TV in 1982, so most people would have first seen it back then.

One of the movie channels is showing it on Christmas Day - pity that it clashes with The Queen at 3.00 pm.

french movie of my childhood La Boum (English title: The Party or Ready for Love) is a 1980 French comedy film directed by Claude Pinoteau, the film is about a thirteen-year-old French girl finding her way at a new high school and coping with domestic problems.

The subtitles mean I have to concentrate on the text / movie so I don’t get distracted

The Green Mile is the best movie I remember on the 90's.

The Odessa File deserves a mention.
Crackingly festive intro courtesey of Perry Como, Jon Voight starred and a warning about standing too close to edge of the platform on the underground
