  • Your first pair of Levi's

About 69/70 saved money from various odd jobs all summer. Travelled through to Glasgow to buy them, cost £3.20. Shrink to fit then all the urban myths on fading them!

I've never owned a pair of levi jeans either.

I never 2got" the fuss about Jeans - was all about Tracksuit Bottoms for me to be honest

If I can add my "similar first pair" - these were my most adorable pair of Puma King Tracksuit Bottoms ever

Like my good friend Darren - I grew up wearing these and though they are'nt the same as Jeans I agree, yes they are in retrospect - it's just like Cars and Bikes and Dogs and Cats and Rabbitts and Guinea Pigs - the conneections and feelings are there and are very very simlar from "back in the day" that that feeling feels immenseupon saving for a certain item of clothing!

Re: Your first pair of Levi's

I always thought that Levi's were the generic brand for jeans in the same way that Hoover was for vacuum cleaners and all that - didn't Shakin' Stevens specifically wear Levi's when was on Top of the Pops circa 1981-1982?

I know that Hart Bochner (Ethan in Supergirl) wore Lee jeans because not only can you see the Lee logo very briefly on the label at back of his jeans in some scenes (such as the stunt ones with the truck outside) and getting them dirty in the process, but Lee Jeans was also mentioned in the credits, and so therefore he was "officially" wearing them, and was just as much a model as he was an actor.
I've everything I need to keep me satisfied
There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
                              I'm having so much fun
                              My lucky number's one
                              Ah! Oh! Ah! Oh!
