    if you were a child of the 80's read on i remember almost everything how many do you remember?


    1.. Um Bongo, Um Bongo, They drink it in the Congo
    2.. You played with "My Little Ponies."
    3.. Friendship bracelets were ties that couldn't be broken.
    4.. You ever read Nancy Drew,The Hardy Boys, The Babysitters
    Club, Forever or Sweet Valley High.
    5.. You know all the words to "Ice Ice Baby".
    6..You wanted to be on "Jim'll Fix It".
    7.. You can remember what Michael Jackson looked like before he had plastic surgery.
    8.. You wore one of those slap-on wristbands at some point...or
    heaven forbid one of those T-shirts that changed colour with heat (Global Hypercolour).
    9.. You had slouch socks and puff painted your own shirt at least once.
    10.. You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, Wax off".
    12.. You were upset when She-ra, Princess of Power and He-Man got cancelled
    13.. You can remember watching Saved by the Bell
    14.. You remember Madonna in her cone stage.
    15.. You knew "The Artist" when he was humbly called "Prince."
    16.. You even wore fluorescent-neon clothing... (if you can call it clothing!)
    17.. Not only did you wear fluorescent-neon
    clothing,
    but they were mismatched with fingerless gloves and toweling socks.
    18..You could break dance (ok, you wished you could)
    19.. You remember when Amiga was a state of the art video game system.
    20.. You remember M.C. Hammer. 21.. You can still sing the rap
    to "Fresh Prince of Bel Air"....
    22.. You can remember when it was Jazzy Jeff and The fresh Prince and NOT
    just plain Will Smith!
    23.. You own any cassettes.
    24.. You carried your lunch to school in a Gremlins, ALF or ET lunchbox.
    25.. You have ever pondered on why Smurfette was the ONLY female smurf.
    26.. My Little Pony, Gummy Bears and Transformers
    are familiar
    to you.
    27.. You ever had a Swatch Watch.
    28.. You actually spent countless hours trying to perfect the
    "Care Bear stare."
    29.. You believed that "By the power of Greyskull, you HAD the power!"
    30.. You spent hours in the basement building and re-building
    Lego cities.
    31.. Big wheels and BMX's were the way to go.
    32.. With your pink (or blue) portable tape player, you sang to
    Kylie and Jason!
    33.. If you ever owned Polly Pocket or Micro
    Machines.
    34..If you ever made Ken fall in love with Barbie.
    35.. You know what " Psyche" means.
    36.. Partying "like it's 1999" seemed SO far away.
    37.. You knew that Transformers were "more than meets the eye".
    38.. You wore a banana clip at some point during your youth.
    39.. You actually thought "Dirty Dancing" was a REALLY good film.
    40.. You were led to believe that in the year 2000 we'd all be living in space.
    41.. You know what leg warmers are and probably had a pair.
    42.. You wore biker shorts underneath a short skirt and felt stylish.
    43.. You had to change into play clothes after school.
    44.. You recorded songs off the radio with your boom box.
    45.. Somehow you still know all the words to songs played on VH1's Big 80s"
    46.. Your arm was full of rubber bracelets.
    47.. You wore those wide, colourful shoelaces.
    48.. You still don't like going in the sea because
    of Jaws.
    49.. You remember Now compilations that had the pig on the front cover.
    50.. You never questioned why the A-Team were
    always imprisoned in places that had sufficient tools to build an armoured tank.
    51..Dungeons & Dragons was your favourite
    programme.
    52.. You've ever said "bright light, bright light" in a strange high-pitched voice.
    53.. You fell out with friends during heated arguments about the relative merits of Matt & Luke.
    54.. Cerise pink, electric blue and banana yellow have ever featured in your wardrobe or make-up collection.
    55.. You ever did the top toggle of your coat up around your neck without having your arms in the sleeves, and you knew you looked
    like a superhero.
    57.. You still remember when the A-ha video was the pinnacle of
    modern technology and you can still sing all
    the words.
    57.. Your best party dress was either a ra-ra or puff-ball skirt.
    58.. You wondered why a popular kids TV programme told you to Turn off your TV set and go and do something less boring instead".
    59..You were shocked by the controversial plot lines in Degrassi Junior High.
    60.. You remember watching a house inhabited by a jester, a pantomime horse and a woman who sneezed, and thinking that this was
    perfectly normal.
    61.. You tried to convince your Dad to fit a strip of red lights on the front of Capri so it looked like KITT.
    62.. You've ever seen a girl, a clown and noughts and crosses on yourTV.
    63.. You've ever had more than 10 sweets in a 10p mix-up.
    64.. You hid behind the sofa whenever you heard the word "Exterminate!"
    65.. You could have got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids.
    66.. (Girls) You owned a pair of Pixie boots,
    generally worn with leg warmers.
    68.. Ooh, you could crush a grape!
    69.. You've ever held a chicken in the air or stuck a deckchair up your nose.
    70.. You wore legwarmers & tried to do the splits while jumping in the air while singing you were going to live forever.
    71.. You remember Fingermouse and Dangermouse (not Forgetting his trusty sidekick Penfold!)
    72.. Trains in Wales went "Pshh-t-cuf, pshh-t-cuf,pshh-t-cuf,pshh-t-cuf, pshh-t-cuf".
    73.. You know all the words to "Hey Mickey" (well,nobody knows past the first verse anyway).
    74.. You remembered Look In magazine, and when it was only 20p
    and Monster Munch when they were 10p.
    75.. Your best mate had a Soda Stream at home and you were jealous.
    76 . Any elderly Scottish lady sounds like Supergran
    77..You remember crying on the beach building
    sandcastles in the rain.
    78.. Hide and seek in the park, the corner shop, Hopscotch, butterscotch,skipping, handstands, football in the park/street,
    British Bulldog, Beano,Twinkle, Hula Hoops, jumping in enormous puddles and building dams
    79.. When 'Computer' Tennis, Pac-Man and Donkey-Kong ruled
    80.. You remember hearing the tune then running out to buy an
    ice-cream cone on a warm summer night - 99's,
    screwballs or a cider lolly.
    81.. You got up extra early, especially to watch Saturday Morning cartoons
    82.. You were occasionally allowed to stay up late for Howard'sWay, Dallas,Dynasty or Minder.
    82.. Running till you were out of breath. Laughing so hard that your stomach hurt.
    83.. You remember Ant and Dec as PJ and Duncan
    84.. Water balloons were the ultimate weapon.
    85.. It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends.
    86..You remember when Snickers were Marathons and Starburst were Opal Fruits.
    87.. You remember when 25p was decent pocket money and you'd reach into a muddy gutter for 10p.
    88.. Important decisions were made by going

    89.. Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made
    better and taking drugs meant orange-flavoured chewable aspirin.
    90.. You called Going Live on 081 811 8181.
    91.. .... And you had your own Gordon the Gopher.
    92.. You had at least 3 pairs of Bermuda Shorts.
    93.. One of your favourite shows was
    either Bertha, Fireman Sam,You and Me or Stopit and Tidy up.
    94.. You ever either loved or hated Bad Boys Inc.
    95.. You wished you could play the opening tune to Johnny Briggs on trombone, and disliked Our Rita.
    96.. What ever happened to Simon and the Witch?
    97.. You wanted a skateboard, and extreme sports had never been invented.You remember the first time scooters came out.
    98.. You've evr said "Ommmmmmm I'm telling of you"
    99.. Rick Astley was your hero.
    100.. You sported a pair of Bow Biters!!!

            yep # 21 I can still sing the song to Fresh Prince of BelAir I just sang it the other day with one of my friends!

                you only forgot one thing.......

                101) You have ever shouted, "heyyyyy you guys" whilst making your ear flap with one hand, and trying to disfigure your face as much as possible with the other.


                (sloth from the goonies incase you are lost by this)

                oh, thought of another......

                102) you have sang with your best friend, the rap (if you can call it a rap) they do in the film 'BIG'.
                Goes something like "shimmy shimmy coco pop" and "You read it, I said it, I stole my mothers credit"....
                I forgot the rest but I'm going to go and see if they have it at Blockbuster!

                Man, I only just signed up to this thing because of that list, you got me so excited!

                About micro machines, mine are still being used as teaching aids in my dads instructor car on a piece of lego board
                with a crossroads printed on it, how cool is that!

                  That's a pretty comprehensive list dons - had any of you a woolly navy jumper with "ADAM AND THE ANTS" in red & how many sides of Rubik's Cube could you do ?

                        2.. Yep. And I'm starting to rebuild a collection of them. Wish I never sold mine when I was 13
                        4.. Read my Mom's old Nancy Drew books. My brother read The Hardy Boys. Definitely read The Babysitters
                        Club and Sweet Valley High.

                          I had all the Hardy Boy Books and thought Shaun Cassidy was God!
                          Still wear the mis matching socks now but thats called running late after getting the kids ready now.
                          But I got to admit having been an 80's girl gives me the edge when it comes to sorting out outfits for my eldests Dance competitions!
