I can't stand dripping - not for me I'm afraid.
I am now in my 40s (just in case anyone asks).

    Iím no expert but ..

    Lard is rendered PORK fat.
Suet is made from rendered BEEF fat.

My mum and granddad used LARD for fry-ups and frying chips and they both got to the ripe old age of 88 ..so Iím following their lead
Incidentally Iím 62 soon and fit as a butchers dog .. not on any medication either !!

I actuality did a blind taste test with two frying pans one with lard the other with suet .. the suet wasnít for me at all .

Sooo last year the BBC made a healthy eating series called something like The Sugar Free diet .. anyways everything they ate was closely monitored but they started each day with a fried breakfast cooked in LARD ..

I also know that THE top restaurants cook in lard and so does the Harry Ramsdens chippy franchise .. apparently

It was Coco Pops for me, personally.

No, I wouldn't use it outside of doing a recipe.

I tell you something - if Hovis were to do a brand new advertising campaign, I would nominate Tex to do the voiceover.
