Very sad and even sadder as the last month or so has seen many deaths.

I can't believe this. He was one of my heroes. Met him a few times and he was just a lovely man.

RIP Neil, I will be raising a glass to you tonight.

Very sad news, I've not had much chance to sample his work but the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Bang & Rutland Weekend Television seem very good.

It was interesting that The Raggy Dolls and Puddle Lane were both scheduled together on Thursday lunchtimes circa 1987-1988 by Yorkshire TV as Innes both narrated the Raggy Dolls and played the magician in Puddle Lane - now that has not happened before - the same person involved in both shows in that slot. I suppose that was my own exposure to Innes.

Also, it's interesting that we have lost two people who had appeared in the Yorkshire TV 12.10 pm Thursday children's TV shows in recent weeks - Neil Innes of Puddle Lane and Kenny Lynch also appeared in its predecessor Mooncat & Co as well.

This was the worst news during the holidays. Neil Innes was one of my favorite people on this planet (at least I think he was from this planet). Up there with the time Gerry Anderson died at the same time of year.
