You missed one of the best shows of the 1990s.

        What a shame.
Ofah is one of the greatest British comedies. Very well written. Fantastic actors.

The programme that I cannot stand is Love Island. Watched a few minutes and thought what rubbish is this. Sadly, I was aware that it would be very popular.

I don't watch Reality TV, or EastEnders, or any programme where people are victimised for the sake of entertainment.

Re: Worst programme you have seen

I bet that the majority of worst programmes have been made and transmitted since 2000 rather than before then - what is it about the incumbent "everything goes" era of Ofcom and the way that broadcasters can get away with anything compared to the "wrap people up in cotton wool" nanny IBA from the 1970s and 1980s? The same IBA that Bruce Gyngell wasn't even bothered about when he was at TV-am by the end of the 1980s.

Remember when The Time The Place got taken off the air because of the racism fracas and John Stapleton having to get in security to remove the relevant people who wouldn't budge? And then compare that with last year and a Jeremy Kyle guest committing suicide as a result of appearing on that programme. Which programme was a lot more in control with its faculties, I wonder? And which one was live and which one was recorded? How the mighty have fallen in just a quarter of a century.

Yes, I am very much a "Mr Public" myself who pays a £154.50 colour TV licence (my renewal will come in the post any day now as 31st January is the annual date on the licence). Don't get me wrong - I have no problem paying the licence fee, but I do wish that it was spent a lot more wisely and into programming where we wouldn't refer to them as being the worst programmes we have seen. At the moment, I am watching the snooker on Eurosport which is great - one thing that puts me off with BBC One is the London-centricness of the channel. If I don't like a programme, then I know how to change channels or switch the set off with my remote control.

Suspect your in the minority here Darren, always found it hilarious myself but over exposure has dampened my fondness over the years

Missing it might be a blessing in disguise.

It's on right now "Deadwater fell" the new three parter starring David tennant, it's as dull as dishwater and that's why i'm on here whilst my nearest and dearest pretends she's enjoying it.

Depends what she appears in just like a lot of actresses.
