One of the few actors who almost became a children's TV presenter as "Mr Derek" to Basil Brush of course - and of course, Heartbeat and the "somewhere in between sitcom and satire" Yes Minister.

Was he the puppeteer of Basil Brush though? (the same for Rodney Bewes and Roy North) - I thought that job would have gone to someone under the desk operating the puppet.

He appeared in every series, didn't he? (proving that the 1960s in Aidensfield lasted for 18 years).

Hearing about derek passing away as a shockindeed

I loved Basil Brush and Derek's voice-over's - that era was along with the Wombles .... the "Cream of British Kids TV" I think/believe

            RIP Derek Foulds
