How could i leave out made in japan, this album set the standard in 1972, recently bought the "uncut" version which included black night and lucille, Gillan was simply the greatest rock vocalist around during this period and Blackmore was simply on fire on this album

Absolutely! No distractions just you and the music in the moment, so many people these days listen to albums on a smartphone whilst perhaps reading a book..unthinkable!!

It was to see a band called "Earth", at a youth club in Workington, called Bankands. It would be around 1969 or 1970. They were so good that they were booked again, but they had changed their name some 6 weeks later when they returned, their new name? "Black Sabbath", the rest as they say is history.

On that occasion, I had to escape from an adolescent unit I was resident at early 78

Every other week I'd would run away

So the alternative weeks I would only be allowed to wear pyjama's to stop me escaping

So Suzi was at Gloucester Leisure Centre; a Friday night, when I was wearing pyjama's

So enter Elaine; she lent me a pair of her jeans and a Black Sabbath tee shirt lol

Elaine & I left by the fire door, leaving a lolly stick stuck in the door, so we could get back in midnight lol

Midnight we returned but some fkr had locked the door

So we had to ring the bell on the front door

The night guy let us in

In the morning, as happened every morning, we had our therapy group

Naturally they picked on Elaine & I

The sister nurse asked us did we think it was acceptable to go out without permission?

We said yes it was acceptable lol

Sister asked us why we thought it was acceptable

"Do we look like we give a fk? We don't" lol

I'm sure Elaine & I were a headache for staff lol

Do you really believe the other side without provocation would launch so many ICBM's, subs and ships knowing that we would have no option to launch as well? It would break our MAD Treaty (Mutually Assured Destruction) not to mention the end of the world as we know it.
