    Default RIP Alan Minter

Boxer Alan Minter has also died aged 69.

One legacy Minter had was the fact that This is Your Life had to be pre-recorded after his appearance on the show as the star guest in 1983 when he started to be profane on air after Eamonn Andrews showed him the personalised Big Red Book.

That was a factoid that I heard from someone in the past...

The name rings a bell but cannot recall much about him

Correction: just looked on Big Red Book.info, and Minter actually appeared on TIYL in 1980. I suppose that the surprise and shock of Andrews accosting him led him to use choice language in response.
