  • Christmas food

Morrisons have got their Christmas food selection booklet,to order online or in store out.Its bad enough going to the shops on a normal Christmas, but it's going to be more challenging this year social distance the main problem.I can see more people having home deliveries and not wanting to go out if you can get the delivery slots.

Last year, Sainsbury's were selling mince pies in October, and obviously, the Best Before Date was some point in November. What was the point of that?

I think that we will have to improvise this year.

      Think Morrisons was the same

It's going to be challenging to go shopping for xmas and new year it cannot be trolley jams who wants to be queuing outside in the cold and wet.Or home deliveries could be stressful if you cant get a slot fun times ahead

        Re: Christmas food

I always do a Tesco online shop for Christmas Food so it can be delivered around 22nd December, but considering the difficulties I have had getting a slot back in March and April, it would be amazing if I could get one at the right time, but I hope that I will. Last year, I missed out on an online shop so I had to get the bus to Asda to do the food shopping - something which would be a lot more difficult this year.

I always recommend sherry as a Christmas drink - that's as long as you can open the bottle as I had difficulty doing so when I tried open a bottle of Croft Original last year. Had to toast the Queen with some bitter lemon.

A lot of the stores have started Christmas advertising this week - did anyone get an Asda Christmas Food Guide through the door with their post like I did yesterday?

A suppose it counts as Christmas food - does anyone still have chocolate advent calendars each year?

Nah, the chocolate tastes of the cardboard it comes in. We have a wooden one with drawers in that we put two maltesers in each night for our two boys to open in the morning.
