  • Weird Sweet!

    Anyone remember, that liquorice that looked like a twig? Was about the late 60's early 70's then disappeared. I remember I tried it once and it tated like what it looked like, the branch of a tree.

    Liquorice root, my mum loves it, you can still get it in our local market.

      Thanks for that, I was brought up in the midlands but I'm abroad now so they may still have it around there for all I know.

          Nottingham myself, met an italian girl [my first love] at 14 and we are still together but now live in Italy, we may be coming back soon though

              Yes I do Heather, but even better than that is Spanish Juice sticks - look like small sticks of LIQUORICE but it is brittle - very easilly snapped. Seems to be only available at Chemist shops these days and I can't find a pic of it anywhere !! Will have to nip in the Chemist and see if it has a 'posh' name these days
