Not 100% sure it was, as the comic was from the early 70's, long before this lolly ad

ah but Warlord ran until 1986 when it merged with Victor IIRC

                Hi again,

Been away for a few days, hence the lack of posting. Thanks for all your detective work Daz, you've come up with some classics! Have you got a link for the Walls King Kong advert? I'll have a dig around as well. I've emailed Walls asking for any info. on old display boards / promotions / marketing, anything! on their products from the 60's onwards. I'll let you know if I have any joy.

                Cheers

                  Thanks Daz,

The PC I was using wasn't bringing the images up; back at home now, so I can see the ones you've previously posted. Excellent!! Where are you sourcing these images? - understand if you want to keep it private, but you're digging up some great items.

                  Cheers

                    No problem
Most of the old adverts I have posted come from various scanned vintage comics. either scanned by myself, or collected from various sources on the net.(blogspots, yahoo groups, etc).Ebay is also a great resource for vintage packaging, etc.

                    Glad you are enjoying them

                            Hi,

I've just read through all 20 pages and had a real trip down memory lane! I used to love a strawberry ice lol in the 70's shaped like a pointing finger, I think it might have just been called "Finger" and also "Berry Fruits" which were like a Split or Mivvi but the ice on the outside was lots of individual pieces like berries.......very fruity as I remember!

No-one found a Midnight Mint wrapper yet? The one with the owl on. I used to love those things
