Need help with 80s cartoon

This was an american cartoon in the mid eighties along the line of Transformers and M A S K, i cant remember too much of the plot but the main thing i remember is that the good robots would join together to create one giant robot to defeat the enemy,i originally thought it was the Go-bots but it isnt.
