Right i tried that list ... no luck !!

II can only think that I must be on the wrongsystem !!!

The only other systems we had were Master system and MegaDrive .

Did they have a Wacky Race game on either of those systems ??

Jees I was so sure it was on N64 though .

I also seem to remember quite a few jungle / mud based tracks and one were your vehicle was transported on a RAFT over a lake !!!!!

Someone must know the name of this game !!

          HELP !!!!

Initally thought it was a N64 game but seemingly not.

A Wacky Races video game was produced in 1992 for the NES, IBM PC, ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 in which the player took the role of Muttley, sent on missions from Dick Dastardly to defeat the other racers. A Mega Drive/Sega Genesis game was intended to be released, but it was canned in development. In 2000, more video games based on the cartoon were produced for the PC, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Game Boy Color and Sega Dreamcast systems. These were racing games. Voices for the video games' renditions of the characters included Jim Cummings as Dick Dastardly, Clyde, Private Meekly, Big Gruesome, Rock Slag, and Gravel Slag; Billy West as Muttley and Little Gruesome, Janet Waldo as Penelope Pitstop, John Stephenson as Luke, Scott Innes as Professor Pat Pending, Gregg Berger as the narrator, and Gregg Burson as the Red Max, Sergeant Blast, Peter Perfect and Rufus Ruffcut. A new game called Wacky Races: Mad Motors for the PlayStation 2 was released by Blast on June 12th.

              Re: Wacky Races- Please help

When you said 'Wacky Races-style game', I immediately thought it might be this - Street Racer.

                Re: Wacky Races- Please help

If it was for the PS2 (or that generation of console/computer) then I can see the damn box in my head but the words are gone! It was a budget release and looked very much like Wacky Races (cell shaded graphics) but wasn't, they then released a proper wacky races game later.

It is now officially driving me nuts as I can't remember the name and google just won't cooperate and help me!

edit: Just noticed the "N64" part of the title! Bah, now they're both driving me mad!!

edit 2: Could it be a Sega Saturn Game (and arcade) called Power Drift?

Oh, was it a 3d view or top down? If top down view the description fits Micro Machines.

                  Re: Wacky Races- Please help

My first thought was Beetle Adventure Racing but it's probably not that. Cool game though.

                    Re: Wacky Races- Please help

We only had Master system , MegaDrive and Nintendo N64 .

I also seem to remember quite a few jungle / mud based tracks and one where your vehicle was transported on a RAFT over a lake !!!!!

Surely SOMEBODY must remember taking a car onto a RAFT and being transported to the other side of the lake mid-race ??

                    LOL

Well it wasn't Micro Machines although the graphics were similar - I really only remember jungle/ forest based tracks and as mentioned before lots of mud and the RAFT journey over a lake !!!!
