      You quite right Daz- just googled it

      Funny thing is when you type in Slaughter and the Dogs it leads you to a picture of some Chinese police actually slaughtering a dog !

        Was known as Mick Rossi earlier on ... saw them at Leeds Town Hall in 1973 or so .. Savoy Brown was support.

          Between 1970 and 76, a great band with several classic albums and songs. 1976-82, still good, but beginning to become formulaic (John Coghlan left in 81 because he didnt like the way the band was going).
          1983-late 90's, poorer and poorer albums.

          This decade they have been better. 2002's Heavy Traffic was a great album, their best in 20 years.

            I got into them a bit in the mid 1980s, bit not in a big way.

            The Dad of a friend of mine at school was a big fan of them & tried to see them at least once on each tour.

                they are just going through the motions nowadays they arent as good as in the early 70,s when they really were a great live rock band

                  Quo are excellent live to this day, saw them last December in Cardiff and they were brilliant. 2 hours of non-stop riffage and they've still got plenty of energy. Plus more hits than you can shake a stick at.
