  • Sherbert Pips

Sherbet Pips used to come in the jars that you would get a quarter weighed out from. They were hard boiled, small, brightly coloured sweets covered in a dusting of icing sugar. They were very tasty - especially when you stuffed a whole load in your mouth at once!

Sherbet Pips are great. We've got a shop in Southport that still sells them from the jars! They've got a couple of websites if you can't get to southport. It's great, they've also got an old lady working in the shop that remembers the sweets from years ago

MUST be eaten in groups, so all the different flavours mix together

(as do Tooty Frooties......you get some gorgeous new flavours by mixing them!)

And right now I happen to be eating a Sherbert Fountain. Smaller than the originals? Odd thing is I've never liked liquorice, so always thrown that away when the sherbet's gone
