                    Yes.
Do any of you remember those boxer puppets that were basically a head on a stalk with two metal levers to control punching of the arms and a bit of cloth to go over your hands as a gown.

                      Re: boxing

Yeah I remember those boxing puppet things, many years ago my grandparents went on holiday to Turkey and brought me one back. I have to admit I loved the thing but looking back it actually looked a little weird, it didn't resemble a boxer at all but rather some sort of eerie-looking clown. The paint job on the face was really bad, it had clown makeup around the eyes, some sort of brimmed hat and then a really badly-painted black beard/stubble. I also recall it having a blue and grey striped shirt and a slightly odd grin across its face, it actually looked like something from that puppet master horror film to be honest.

I used to love watching boxing and still do when it's not on Box Office!

My favourite boxers were John Conteh, Alan Minter, Barry McGuigan, Jim Watt, John H Stracey, Nigel Benn, Lloyd Honeyghan and Frank Bruno.

Loved watching the middleweights like Minter, Hagler, Sibson. Hagler was awesome in the ring yet articulate and lacking that showman type arrogance that seems mandatory out of it.
