    RIP Reg Varney who died today age 92.
    Best known for his starring role in the TV series On The Buses.

    Bless him! He's one of the few people in this life that can claim to have made folk laugh and by that made the world a better place !

    Who can forget him and his 'sister' Olive and of course Inspector Blake - better known as Blakey - 'I'll get you Butla !!! '

        he also opened the very first hole in the wall cash machine in 1967 at Barclays Bank in Enfield, North London.

            He was getting on for 50 yrs old when he was actually playing a 30-something year old in the series.....Olive from the series (plays Aunt Sal in Eastenders now) was on radio FiveLive the other day... she didn't know his true age either; even now she thought he was only in his early eighties!

              When ever i need cheering up i stick on one off my ON THE BUSES dvd,s and its not long before i have a smile back on my face.

                Yes an absolute star, as a Bus driver I was Nicknamed Reg after him.
