The Crusaders (or something like that!!)

hi, i hope you can help me. a friend of mine has been searching for information on a kids tv show circa 1970 (ish). it was called The Crusaders or The Crusades, or something similar. He thinks it was like a mini series type thing, about (you guessed it) the crusades...
have searched all the usual sites but can't find anything.
any help would be much appreciated.......
